I removed the somewhat undersized stern cleats and replaced them with these Cleat/Chocks from New Found Metals. They mount with 3/8 studs. I made backing plates from 1/8" thick stainless steel. The holes were opened and filled with epoxy/406 filler then re-drilled for the studs. I sealed the mountings with Boat Life Sealer Caulk.
