Here is the mast on the roof of my car after the trip home from the marina. I set up a line on a spreader to stabilize the mast and keep it from flexing. I also supported it with a strut on the front bumper. The set-up was very stable and I had no trouble manueuering. And no tailgaters.
It was great to have the mast in the back yard to work on it. The mast weighs about 120 lbs fully rigged. I stripped it down for transport home but on the way back it had most of the gear installed.
