This is one of the boats that Pearson
produced after purchasing the molds from U.S. Yacht. I had a 79 U.S. 25 that
later became the Pearson 25. At the time I called and talked to Pearson and
they said that they made no changes to the boat when they built it.
Here are the specs on the 21.
LOA 21'3"
LWL 18'0"
Beam 8'0"
Weight 1500lb,
Ballast 200lb,
Draft board up 1'4", board down 4'7"
Mast height 32'6"
Sail area 224 sq. ft.
SA/D=27.4
D/L=115
This is an interesting boat as it has wide stern of current racers and is
very flat bottom. It has a dagger board and came with just about every go
fast adjustment you can think of. I have sailed it a couple of times in
light air and it is fast.
