This photo shows the area under the turntable. These are the power supplies for the throttles, turnouts and accessories. There are four transformers. The two at the bottom are for the transistor throttles. They feed the two square circuit boards at in the middle of the four. These are basically the left portion of the transistor throttle circuit. The rest is in the control console. There are large heat sinks for the power supply regulators to the left. The smaller one in the middle is for the accessory power. The board to the right is a double ended supply with +/- 12v for the turnouts. This is filtered but un-regulated.
At the lower part of the space is the turn table motor. It is a 1 RPM motor. The square top fits into a square socket on the bottom of the turn table.
This photo shows things taken apart for cleaning and in a state of semi-construction. The power supplies don't run very warm. But if they did I could add a fan with a vent out the bottom. But that would be a way to draw dust into the table.
