The transistor throttle is the power supply for the locomotives. Mine has pulse injection and momentum built into the circuit. Pulse injection adds a ripple to the voltage to give the locomotive motor a bit of a nudge to get it started. This makes startups smoother and slow speed opperation more realistic. The momentum control is an RC circuit that slows the rise or drop of the throttle output voltage. If you quicly turn the throttle control to zero the momentum circuit will slow the rate of voltage drop to simulate the momentum of a real locomotive.
